Data Centre Reform Project

The Data Centre Reform Project was an initiative of the NSW Government aimed at consolidating 130 existing NSW Government data centres to support the provision of Data Centres as a Service for all State Government users. It also provided safe, secure, efficient and environmentally sound data centre capacity to meet the projected strong growth in demand across government. The project is described in more detail on the NSW Government website.

The project combined the data centre requirements of cornerstone tenants (State Government Departments) along with Government stakeholders ranging from the Minister’s office to the CFOs of potential users and the Treasury. This challenging project was delivered under the Project Management of David Thomson and the sponsorship of Pedro Harris, the Executive Director of IT Strategy.
